Post subject: | How to incorporate Auxillary data in Galprop v57 |
Hi, I am a new member. I'm trying to install Galprop v57. At the download site, it said "Auxillary data (ISRF files, gas column density maps) also need to be downloaded. Most recent for these are provided by Porter_etal_ApJ_846_67_2017.tar.gz and galprop-54_data_081715.tar.gz." However I don't know how to include/attach these folders into the Galprop installation. Can someone give me an instructions please? Thank you, Steve |

I think you just need to extract the tar.gz data files into the galprop_installation_path/FITS directory. |

You place the data files into a directory (e.g., `/where/you/installed/gp57/FITS') and point the galdef configuration file to that directory (editing the paths in the galdef file appropriately). |
