I installed Galprop from source code and want to run it parallely. I added --enable-openmp on configuration. What should I do next? Should I specify mpic++ as c++ compiler and mpif90 as fortran compiler? And after installation, how should I run? Should the command be something like "mpirun -n 8 source/galprop ..."?

GALPROP uses openmp for parallelization. You just specify --enable-openmp and use an openmp enabled compiler, such as gcc > 4.5 or intel compilers > 11.0. Then just run the code normally. This will allow GALPROP to use all available cores on a single machine. If you want to run on fewer cores you set the environment variable OMP_NUM_THREADS=<number of cores> before executing GALPROP.
