 Post subject: galplot compilation

i have downloaded the obsolete version of galprop 50.1 ,also the galplot. i compiled the galprop successfully,but i dont know how to use galplot .i m using ubuntu 10.04. please help me.

galplot is no longer supported, but the FITS output can be read with standard tools from
http://heasarc.nasa.gov/docs/software/ftools/fv/

The content of the files is described in detail in the GALPROP Explanatory Supplement (GALPROP website, under Code->Manuals)

Also: under Webrun there are some basic plotting functions for cosmic-ray spectra.

Also, take a look at a Python script called Plot Galprop, which can be downloaded here:
http://galprop.stanford.edu/resources.p ... n=routines

It is the script used by the Quick Plots function in WebRun. It may not do everything one might want, but it can give you an idea of how to read and manipulate the output of GALPROP with Python.
