300-800 GeV excess: any bright ideas ?

The PPB-BETS values plotted in Fig 3 seem lower than those given in the latest 2008 PPB-BETS paper (Table 3)

but the ATIC paper quotes an older (2006) paper for the PPB-BETS spectrum.

The agreement with the 2008 PPB-BETS spectrum is not quite so good as in Fig 3 of the ATIC paper.
