Note: the recently (Nov 2017) released galprop v56 includes some of the enhancements and bugfixes to the original v54. These are at https://gitlab.mpcdf.mpg.de/aws/galprop (developed and released 2013-2015). v56 lacks documentation but at least those parts are documented in the aforesaid v54 upgrade. |

There is a single example galdef file explaining all the options. The FITS file for v54 and v56 are identical and are downloaded separately. |

Thanks. It does work with the data files: galprop-54_data_081715.tar.gz galprop-54_data_patch3.tar.gz galprop-54_data_030115_addon.tar.gz galprop-54_data_111612_addon.tar.gz obtained from the code download region. Nevertheless, the example GALDEF file "galdef_56_example" should be updated as following #The annuli are only used for gamma-ray output #COR_filename = rbands_co10mm_2001_qdeg.fits.gz #CO gas annuli, not used if empty COR_filename = rbands_co10mm_v2_2001_qdeg.fits.gz #CO gas annuli, not used if empty # HIR_filename = rbands_hi12_qdeg_zmax1.fits.gz #HI gas annuli, not used if empty HIR_filename = rbands_hi12_v2_qdeg_zmax1_Ts150_EBV_mag5_limit.fits.gz #HI gas annuli, not used if empty Neither rbands_co10mm_2001_qdeg.fits.gz nor rbands_hi12_qdeg_zmax1.fits.gz can be found among the data files. Y= in v56 as in v54 update (not always latest) N= not in v56 Y accurate propagation scheme Y polarized synchrotron (but not latest version) Y free-free emission and absorption N new convection model (continuous at z=0) N anisotropic diffusion Y primary positrons N free-escape boundary conditions N new hadronic gamma-ray production models N new injection spectral breaks Y upwards compatible with latest HEALPix Y improved HEALPix skymap format N deuterium production by pp fusion N Jansson and Farrar 2012 B-field N hadronic energy losses for p and He Basically only v54 changes up to end of 2012 are included so "Y" does necessarily imply the latest version. v54 updates in v56 source can be found using "grep AWS2011" *cc and "grep AWS2012" *cc. |
