Dear Forummates Is it possible to calculate cosmic ray spectrum at different (l,b) using galprop.

When you set up a standard 2D calculation, the computational grid is evenly spaced in R (galactocentric radius) and Z (height from the Galactic plane). You get a spectum in every voxel in this grid as a FITS file nuclei_*. If you want to transform it to another grid, you have to read the FITS file and transform it with your own reader application.

There may be a conceptual error -- to obtain a cosmic-ray spectrum for different l,b is to plot the intensity of the cosmic rays over the sky at the local position. Because the assumption in GALPROP is isotropy for the diffusion, the intensity is simply the number density*c/4pi and there is no directional information. Obtaining the spectrum for different spatial coordinates (e.g., R,z) means extracting these from the output FITS file for the cosmic ray number densities.
