Here are some suggestions for the Webrun list of FAQs:
Q: which external packages does galprop use ?
A: cfitsio, CCfits, healpix, gsl (GNU Scientific Library), CLHEP
Q: how can I view the healpix skymap output files ?
A: try Aladin.
http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr/ Go to download and choose beta v6.901. It can be run online without installation.
It gives an orthographic projection which can be rotated, scaled, coordinates plotted, colour bar varied, etc.
However Aladin cannot handle the vector entries in GALPROP healpix skymaps (each pixel is a spectrum stored as a vector), so you first have to do something with fv :
with edit: create a new column of type real, with calc: fill the column with one of the vector columns or the sum over the energy ranges you want. Then open this column with Aladin under 'other extensions', and you will see the skymap.
Q: when I click on 'Quick Plots' for a completed run, nothing happens.
A: (not sure but think it has to do with Browser configuration)
Q: is it possible to download multiple runs without having to click each one separately.
A: ?
Q: is it possible to make automated multiple runs scanning some parameters ?
A: yes (I think I saw that but forget where and how)
Q: can I share my runs (parameter sets) with others - i.e. make them visible to selected users ?
A: ? (normally they are invisible to others)
Q: there is an IMPORT option for parameters but seems inactive at present.
A: ?
Q: will ratio plots like B/C be provided as well as spectra ?
A: ?
Q: is it possible to override the parameter checks if the value I want is different ?Or enter values not in the drop-down menus ?For example d_long, d_lat: it would be nice to enter any value, not just the values in the list.
A: ? apparently not at present.
Q: will parameter sets from published papers be available in Webrun ?
A: a good idea to be implemented
