Hello,
I am grateful for my previous post answer, however I am still in the way to understand for my galprop result files.
The first question is related the nuclei_54_xxx.gz. When opened this file, it has a 26x 1x63x92 dimension, please let me know this numbers mean and match with my galdef file. You can find my galdef file in my previous post, please see it.
The second question is for xxx_ring_xx_healpix_54_xxx.gz files. These files have skymap ring and energy data, so I want to plot them in the skyview. For example plotted the xxx_HII_ring_1_healpix_54 file into the skyview, I think the ring can be seen in it. When I clicked the connect to skyview with the fv5.3, I could not find ring setting part. How can I see the ring into the skyview.
The last qestion is for synchrotron_Q_xxx and synchrotron_U_xxx, as I know these Q and U are beam polarized parameters. Although I read the manual, it is not enough for me. Would you mind give comments for the CR polarization?
I expect any advices or comments. Thank you.

Wunghoa Park.

Thanks for your questions, they show that galprop documention is not as good as it should be.

However the first question should be answered by Section 3.4 of the Explanatory Supplement.
26=Radial bins, 1=z-bins (z=0 only as described there), 63=energy bins, 92=nuclei described by the header keywords.
If it is not clear enough let us know.

The healpix files can only be plotted with routines which understand healpix like CDS Aladin http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr
and for that you also have to copy the vectors to a new column. I don't know what skyview is or what it can do.
On the other hand the format=2 (l,b) format is simple to plot, using ds9 or fv. But it is of course distorted away from the plane.

For the polarized synchrotron, this is not yet ready in the public version, so better ignore it for now.
