In the future more and more use will be made of HEALPix, (including for the standard GLAST analysis).
Hence the output of galprop should include an option for HEALPix output of the gamma-ray and other skymaps.
This is especially important for whole-sky analysis.
It will enable better handling of statistical analyses since the pixel solid-angle is perfectly constant.
At present the output is straight (l,b) which is quite inappropriate at high latitudes and has solid-angles going to zero at the poles.
